SIXTY students of Balochistan Residential College Loralai undertook a study tour of Punjab in December where they had an opportunity to meet Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi in Islamabad. The prime minister spared time to meet them and heard their problems. He agreed to two of their requests but declined the third one.
The prime minister agreed to provide a 30-seater bus and funds for the construction of a mosque but expressed his inability to provide the laptops promised a year ago by former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. The reason for declining the laptops was that they were provided to university students only. A lot of students were disappointed when they heard this.
Our wish was fulfilled by Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif during our two-day stay in Lahore. He was not only a gracious host, but also distributed laptops among all students.
The students of Balochistan Residential College Loralai who embarked on Study Tour 2017 are thankful to Mr. Shahbaz Sharif for his magnanimous gesture.
