Tao – A Foodie’s Review
Since I was on a hunt for delectable sushi since a long time, a friend of mine recommended I try this relatively new place in town called Tao, and very confidently stated that this was the best place where I would be able to satiate my cravings for some really good sushi.
So off I went and booked a table at Tao for dinner last weekend. Some of my friends also decided to accompany me, since they heard that we would be getting our hands on some mouthwatering delights. Upon entering the restaurant I was extremely pleased with the ambience and the interior. It seemed like we had entered the right place for what we were looking for,as in sushi. We decided on ordering a range of different sushi platters. Such as their Assorted Nigri, Assorted Sashimi, Spicy Tuna MakiandCrispy California Rolls. All the dishes that were served were presented exquisitely, and all the ingredients seemed fresh and aromatic.
Coming to the taste, as soon as I took a bite of the SalmonNigri, I almost forget about everything else. The succulent piece of salmon was placed on a bed of perfectly pressed vinegared rice, served with pickled ginger and wasabi, the delicacy confirmed that we had found our sushi heaven. My next bite was from the sashimi platter a Red SnapperSashimi; the red snapper was perfectly sliced and flavorful served with a side of daikon radish and wasabi. It was also a winner for me.
Their Spicy Tuna Maki was bursting with flavor; it had the right mix of tuna, green onions, and mayonnaise. Served with a hot sauce it was extremely satisfying. Last, but not least, the rolls were topped with a flaky tempura crunch and filled with flavorful seafood delicacies (crab and tempura prawn) and the right amount of cucumber and sushi rice.
My overall experience at Tao was very satisfying; I left the place pleasantly replete, with a mind to definitely visit again.
