IN the backdrop of Panama leaks many political parties have made parodies of our famous national songs. Many of these national songs have inspired the nation for decades and spurred them on to glory. In one such instance, one political party has not even spared the most famous song “Aai rah-i-haq kay shaheedon” which in my opinion for Pakistanis is as close to the holy grail as one can get. I fear such thoughtless action on the part of some political activists will only put off our younger generation and disconnect them with the historical moments that this country hold dear since these parodies make them comical. I request all politcal parties to spare famous national songs.
