For a long time, the Sindh government has faced criticism and has been labelled as inefficient. Undoubtedly, to a certain extent the criticism seems fair.
However, it is time we supported the Sindh government for the way it has confronted the coronavirus. The timely measures which were executed aggressively were the need of the hour and are indeed worthy of appreciation. On the other hand, Prime Minister Imran Khan has failed to make an impact, and therefore has failed to capitalise on a golden opportunity to show his leadership abilities in this time of crisis. He has failed to draw up a national strategy and to bring all the federating units on the same page. As individuals we cannot survive this menace, but together as a nation with the right spirit this task is achievable.
