Whether it is the birth of a child, a wedding, or any joyous occasion, firing has become a rather dangerous tradition in our society. Unfortunately, a 13-year-old boy lost his life recently due to aerial firing at a wedding reception in Musakhail district. How long will this hazardous practice continue? The government should impose a strict ban on aerial firing and give exemplary punishment to those involved in such an act. Public awareness campaigns should also be launched to educate the masses about the risks of aerial firing.
