Global challenges
It is crucial for the United Nations to address pressing global challenges, such as the ongoing genocide in Gaza, attacks on Lebanon, human rights violations in occupied Kashmir, and the rise of Islamophobia and extremist tendencies globally. Climate change issues and economic challenges in developing countries also have the potential to threaten world peace in the years ahead. Unfortunately, the UN has failed to effectively address any of these issues basically under the influence of the United States and its allies in the West. The same can be said about the world body’s efforts to tackle climate change and the economic issues that are afflicting the Global South.
